Ministries

Each ministry's purpose is to glorify God by growing and advancing the Kingdom.

All ministries are rooted in scriptural truth and lead through continued prayerful determination of God's will and direction. 

Ministry Teams:

Children's Church
Children, ages 4 through 5th grade, are taught about Jesus through Bible stories and worship songs. Creative activities are also done to reinforce lessons that remind the kids of His goodness.

Throughout the year, the children's ministry staff provides an Easter egg hunt, Vacation Bible School, and a Fall Party or Christmas Play.

Compassion
This ministry partners with the congregation to foster camaraderie and meet the physical and monetary needs of others. This group offers support and care for one another during times of hardship and grief.

Some activities include home/hospital visits, care packages, greeting cards, meal train, funeral dinners, and benevolence.

Communication
This ministry focuses on a variety of creative and effective means of communication, through which the members will be informed, challenged, encouraged, connected, and empowered for Kingdom ministry.

Some activities include Sunday greeters, creating the bulletin, announcements, prayer list, and social media.

Facilities
This ministry focuses on maintaining and enhancing the facilities of the public church house, as an efficient and safe space from which Kingdom agendas may be based and launched.

Some activities include Sunday security, grounds keeping/maintenance, and shoveling snow off sidewalks.

Fellowship
This ministry focuses on creating special events and opportunities for individuals to build and strengthen personal relationships within the body, to advance the Kingdom!

Some activities include planning church lunches, chili cook-offs, and holiday gatherings. 
Men's Group
This group of men meet on the first Saturday of each month for breakfast and a devotional. The breakfast is open to all men and boys of any age. The main focus of the devotions is how to be Godly men and examples for the church. Needs of the church are discussed, along with how the group can meet them.

Missions
This ministry focuses on creating and facilitating opportunities for individuals within the body, to be "the hands and feet of Jesus" unto the "least of these."

Women's Group
This group of women meets monthly on the first Thursday of the month. A heavy emphasis is placed on how women (daughters, mothers, grandmothers) must set an example in showing God's love and living out His teachings to our families and people we come in contact with daily.

Some activities include filling the need of the church and local community and supports global missions. The group works closely with the Compassion ministry.

Worship
This ministry focuses on the personal and corporate development and growth of a God-centered, worship-focused, Spirit-led, Truth-founded, prayer-fueled life, for the glory of the King and the advancement of His Kingdom in our daily lives.

Some activities include leading worship (by singing or playing an instrument) and managing the sound
 system/projector.
 
Leader: Ethan Linton
Youth Group
The youth program strives to get middle school through high school aged students excited to know more about God, in order to grow a closer relationship with him, and also grow in relationships with peers. Sunday school is offered, as well as a youth group every other Sunday.

A variety of events are held or attended throughout the year, such as Christian concerts, Chrysalis, or Camp Illiana.
